Mac n' Steak Chili Cheese Bowl

INGREDIENTS

  • 1, #5 can Bush's® Best® Chili Starter
  • ½ fl oz Vegetable oil
  • 8 oz Yellow onions, medium diced
  • 3 lbs Steak, fully cooked, chunks
  • 43½ oz Tomatoes, diced
  • 16 fl oz Water
  • 15 cups Mac n' cheese, prepared
  • 1 cup Crispy onion straws, prepared

INGREDIENTS

  • 1, #5 can Bush's® Best® Chili Starter
  • ½ fl oz Vegetable oil
  • 8 oz Yellow onions, medium diced
  • 3 lbs Steak, fully cooked, chunks
  • 43½ oz Tomatoes, diced
  • 16 fl oz Water
  • 15 cups Mac n' cheese, prepared
  • 1 cup Crispy onion straws, prepared

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat oil in large saucepot, over medium high heat. Add onions and cook to caramelize.
  2. Add chili, steak, tomatoes and water.
  3. Simmer approximately 30 minutes (stirring occasionally), or less time to your desired consistency and flavor.
  4. Use chili right away for service or chill properly then place in a covered container. Label, date and reserve refrigerated at 35-38° F.
  5. Heat mac n' cheese in batches and hold hot for service. Plate the recipe: Place 1 cup mac n' cheese in a serving bowl, then top with 1 cup chili and 1 Tbsp crispy onions. Repeat for remaining orders. Serve and enjoy!
  6. SUGGESTIONS: Make it vegetarian by using vegetables in place of the steak. Upscale it by using onion rings instead of onion straws. Top with jalapeños or chunky style salsa.
