Tex-a-cue Brisket Black Beans
We wouldn’t dare call this chili, but we can’t deny that this smoked brisket and black beans eats like meal. Seasoned Black Beans and smoked beef brisket simmer with Texas-style BBQ sauce and beef stock and feel at home served with a side of fried okra.

INGREDIENTS
- 2.25 Qt Bush’s Best® Easy Entrées® Taco Fiesta™ Black Beans, Drained
- 3 cups Texas Style BBQ Sauce, Prepared
- 1.5 cups Beef Stock
- 1.5 lb Smoked Beef Brisket, Prepared, Shredded
- 1 Tbsp Kosher Salt
- 1.5 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 3 Qt Fried Okra, Prepared, Reserved Warm
INGREDIENTS
- 2.25 Qt Bush’s Best® Easy Entrées® Taco Fiesta™ Black Beans, Drained
- 3 cups Texas Style BBQ Sauce, Prepared
- 1.5 cups Beef Stock
- 1.5 lb Smoked Beef Brisket, Prepared, Shredded
- 1 Tbsp Kosher Salt
- 1.5 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 3 Qt Fried Okra, Prepared, Reserved Warm
DIRECTIONS
- Bring beans, beef stock, and BBQ sauce to a simmer in a large pot or rondeau over medium-high heat. Simmer for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Reduce heat to medium. Stir in brisket. Cover, and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Salt and pepper as needed.
- For one portion, serve 1/2 cup brisket and beans with a 1/2 cup fried okra on the side.
