Zesty Cajun Bean Bowl
Louisiana flavor sings in this savory, satisfying bowl with zesty Bush's® Best® Texas Ranchero Pinto Beans, chicken sausage, red bell peppers and celery topped with fresh, crisp lettuce and brown rice.

INGREDIENTS
Rice
- 1 cup Brown rice
- 2 cups Chicken stock (unsalted)
Bowl
- 1/4 cup Bush’s Best® Texas Ranchero Pinto Beans
- 1/4 cup Diced celery
- 1/4 cup Diced red bell pepper
- 1/2 sausage ea. Applegate (Chicken-Apple) Chicken Sausage (diced)
- 1 cup Shredded Romaine lettuce

Rice
- 1 cup Brown rice
- 2 cups Chicken stock (unsalted)
Bowl
- 1/4 cup Bush’s Best® Texas Ranchero Pinto Beans
- 1/4 cup Diced celery
- 1/4 cup Diced red bell pepper
- 1/2 sausage ea. Applegate (Chicken-Apple) Chicken Sausage (diced)
- 1 cup Shredded Romaine lettuce
DIRECTIONS
- RICE: Add rice and chicken stock to pan and bring to a boil.
- Turn down to a simmer, cover and simmer for 40 minutes. Turn off heat and let stand for five minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve.
- BOWL: In a non-stick pan, add chicken sausage, red peppers, and celery until sausage and peppers begin to blister and are hot.
- Add beans to pan and toss until hot.
- Add prepared rice and shredded Romaine to a bowl and top with hot chicken sausage mix. Serve immediately.
