Rice

  • 1 cup Brown rice
  • 2 cups Chicken stock (unsalted)

Bowl

  • 1/4 cup Bush’s Best® Texas Ranchero Pinto Beans
  • 1/4 cup Diced celery
  • 1/4 cup Diced red bell pepper
  • 1/2 sausage ea. Applegate (Chicken-Apple) Chicken Sausage (diced)
  • 1 cup Shredded Romaine lettuce

INGREDIENTS

Rice

  • 1 cup Brown rice
  • 2 cups Chicken stock (unsalted)

Bowl

  • 1/4 cup Bush’s Best® Texas Ranchero Pinto Beans
  • 1/4 cup Diced celery
  • 1/4 cup Diced red bell pepper
  • 1/2 sausage ea. Applegate (Chicken-Apple) Chicken Sausage (diced)
  • 1 cup Shredded Romaine lettuce

DIRECTIONS

  1. RICE: Add rice and chicken stock to pan and bring to a boil.
  2. Turn down to a simmer, cover and simmer for 40 minutes. Turn off heat and let stand for five minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve.
  3. BOWL: In a non-stick pan, add chicken sausage, red peppers, and celery until sausage and peppers begin to blister and are hot.
  4. Add beans to pan and toss until hot.
  5. Add prepared rice and shredded Romaine to a bowl and top with hot chicken sausage mix. Serve immediately.
